Current Implications of the Coronavirus

In light of Government’s recent announcement Withernsea Town Council would like to request that all communication with the Town Council be conducted either by telephone or email.

Although our office, is at present, still open to the public during our normal working hour (Mon, Wed, Fri 11am-3pm), we ask all residents to be pro-active in containing the potential transfer of the virus within our community and limit face-to-face office visits to essential business only.

It is anticipated that the situation will continue to change. There is an expectation that the at some point the Council may need to take steps to close public access to the Merdian Centre and Council office completely, whilst staff continue to work via email and telephone, whether this be from the office or remotely.

As of today all Town Council meetings are to be suspended until further notice.

Any further news or developments regarding Town Council matters will be reported via our website – www.withernseatowncouncil.co.ukFacebook – www.facebook.com/WithernseaTownCouncil and the local press.
