ERYC - Road Closure Notice

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1)
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC


Hull Road, Withernsea (PART)


Notice is hereby given that The East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Hull Road, Withernsea (between numbers 36 to 40) commencing 26th May 2020 to allow essential telecoms works on Withernsea Lighthouse building’s antennas to be carried out by O2.


The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed the within one day.


The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via:


Hull Road, Queen Street and Hollym Road, Withernsea


Withernsea Road and Patrington Road, Hollym


Hollym Road, Northside, Westgate, Station Road and Winestead Lane, Patrington


Winestead Lane, Winestead


Chantry Lane, Halsham


Rimswell Road, Rimswell


Hull Road, Withernsea.

 

The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but access will be
maintained for the emergency services, residents and pedestrians.
