East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s countryside access team has arranged a special event for children this half term, as part of its Kids go Wild programme.
‘Hibernation Dens’ at Humber Bridge Country Park Local Nature Reserve on Thursday, 1 November will be a chance to help the wildlife on the reserve by building hibernation homes in the woods for insects, amphibians and small mammals.
The event will run as two sessions, from 10am to 12 noon, and from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. The sessions are suitable for children, accompanied by adults. The cost is £2.50 per child, and accompanying adults go free.
Booking is essential, via www.bridspa.com/events (click on Venue, then Sports, Play & Countryside Events) or call 01482 395320 in office hours.
