P/T Receptionist/Administration Assistant
Salary: based on local government NJC scales, point 11 £15807.00 per annum depending on experience. Pro-rata (16 hours per week)
Applications are invited for the post of Receptionist/Admin Assistant in the Town Council office located in the Meridian Centre, Withernsea for Withernsea Town Council. To work part time (Monday, Wednesday 10am-3pm & Friday 10am – 4pm), commencing June 2017.
The Receptionist/Admin Assistant will be the first point of contact for the Town Council and will be required to assist the Deputy Clerk to deliver the administration required to ensure the efficient day to day running of the office including typing of letters, reports, agendas and minutes, dealing with emails, answering the telephones and maintaining electronic communications. Knowledge of Word and Excel, and an excellent standard of written English are essential. They may be required to provide some cover in finance so numeracy skills are required. They will also be a welcoming point of contact for all Town enquiries.
The applicant will possess excellent interpersonal skills, must be adaptable and able to interact effectively with Councillors and residents.
The post requires 16 hours per week, however, the workload will vary and any additional hours will be paid at normal rates. The post may require you to cover attendance at some meetings of the Town Council.
