Date(s) - 03/12/2018 - 17/12/2018
‘Sewerby Squirrels’ – held at Sewerby Hall and Gardens for under fives and their families – is held in the Orangery on Mondays from 10am -11.30am, during East Riding term-time, and there are more sessions for the early part of December.
All the sessions feature themed activities for Under 5s, based on seasonal events, Edwardian life, and exhibits which are on display at Sewerby Hall. Each session includes books to read, a sensory area and quiet corner.
The session on Monday, 3 December includes a Garden-themed craft, a chance to come and make a crafty nature collage.
Monday, 10 December will be History Explorers: the Squirrels will enjoy digging up the past, making a cave painting, and exploring inside the House (a special opportunity to look around without other visitors present).
The final session of 2018 will be on Monday, 17 December and the activity will be a Christmas Story. The Squirrels will listen to the story, decorate the Christmas tree, and make an angel to take home.
Sewerby Squirrels will then take a break over Christmas and the New Year, and will return on Monday, 7 January, 2019.
