East Riding of Yorkshire Council is reminding motorists that is is about to begin improvement works to the B1230 between Slipper Bridge near Gilberdyke and Addle Lane junction, Eastrington.
The works form part of the council’s highway maintenance programme and will see improvements to the drainage system and resurfacing of the main carriageway.
The main carriageway resurfacing works will begin on Wednesday, 6 September, and are scheduled to last for 11 weeks, weather permitting.

The work will be carried out between 7am and 5pm under traffic signal control, with a convoy system and a temporary 10mph speed limit.
The work will be carried out by East Riding of Yorkshire Council Streetscene Services.
A council spokesperson said : “We apologise for any delays caused during these essential works, which will lead to an improved road surface and better drainage along this stretch of road.”
