‘Sewerby Squirrels’ – held at Sewerby Hall and Gardens for under fives and their families – is held in the Orangery from 10am -11.30am, during East Riding term-time.
All the new sessions feature activities based on seasonal events, Edwardian life, and exhibits on display at the venue.
The session on 5 February is a Pancake Story Time. Participants can enjoy listening to a story about pancakes and taking part in role play.
After a break for half term, Sewerby Squirrels will be back on Monday 19 February with a Garden Explorer session. This session will involve investigating Monkey Puzzle Trees, sorting sticks and enjoying some wooden construction. The group will go out into the garden together at 10:30. Participants are advised to dress for the weather!
On 26 February, the Squirrels can take part in a Kitchen Activity – decorating biscuits with spring colours! This is in addition to the usual sensory area and quiet corner.
All participants will need to visit the Welcome Centre to obtain a counter for admission to the session. Annual Pass Holders are admitted for free, as are the under 3s. Entry for children aged 3-4 is £2, with one accompanying adult free.
